The Nixon presidency was very complex and this exhibit tries to present Nixon in a most favorable light, Clearly in international affairs, he did bring about an end to the Viet Nam war and was superb in achieving a rapproachment with China. He was a brilliant man notwithstanding the Watergate disaster.We think that he really established his place in the history of our nation and achieved considerable respect for his accomplishments. Because Nixon's papers and tapes are still being held in Washington, the library is still in the early stages of development. There is a fair amount of Nixon memorabilia here which gives one a feel for the Nixom presidency.
