
The pictures shown do not quite tell you the whole story. I took the pictures to document what I was doing, not with the intent of putting them on a web site. The pieces of sculpture are representative of the wide range of emotions which drive me to create. For example, "Healing" was done following the Columbine tragedy. The lower half of Healing shows chaos and disruption whereas above, there is more brightness with birds flying in the sun. Court Jester is a somewhat more whimsical piece probably done in a more carefree period in our lives. Don Quixote really looks forlorn. When you are working however, your emotional input is not all that consistent. My "studio" is the garage and it works well. I am teaching others this skill in the hope that they will ultimately take over. I use both new steel and also found objects such as discarded junk farm equipment. |
